Writing a letter to myself when I was in kindergarten for the future me, I never thought I would end up where I am today – already? I know. I’ve already finished high school and now almost done with college and staring my future in the face. All in the blink of an eye. Sadly, I haven’t yet completed all my kindergarten goals and I still don’t have my own puppy. But I HAVE traveled outside the country and kept some of the same friends since then. So that’s a plus.

Going into James Madison University, I had no idea what I wanted to do, but knew I wanted to major in something that was “like yearbook.”  Then I found the wonderful world of SMAD. The School of Media Arts of Design is home to students studying journalism, digital video and cinema, interactive design, or my area, creative advertising. I discovered a place full of the rules of design, adobe creative cloud, target marketing, digital marketing, brainstorming, teamwork, and much more! I fell in love! I was also able to pick up two minors – creative writing and studio art with a focus in photography and graphic design. I was finally studying everything I was passionate about and found new ways to combine other interests. Seriously what could be more perfect!

Now what next you may ask? I am hoping to find a job I love that is in one of my fields of interest. Cliché? – yes. Real goal? – definitely. I would love to be able to incorporate my love of travel, the environment, animals, working out, photography, writing, adobe, and who knows maybe even some coding. I understand that’s a tall order to fill, but it would be great to work with these at some point along the way. And if any of these things interest you or you are looking for someone in the field then you’ve come to the write place! Please browse as you please and contact me if you have any questions, comments, want to work together, or just want to be friends! I look forward to hearing from you!
